Say Y.E.S.S to the Test and Find 'Your Essential Signature' Style!!!!

Discovering our own fashion sense can be a bit of a challenge for anyone of any body structure. We follow runways and magazines, looking to our favorite celebs for inspiration to recreate distinctive looks but somehow can't fully grasp how we can cinch these trends to fit the make up of our personal Signature Style. Sometimes for the sake of being trendy we end up doing exactly what our parents told us not to do, following the crowd straight off that Bridge into the abyss of a 'Fashtastrophe'. I'll never forget my recent Fashtastrophe... The high wasted jean... BUT WHY NICOLE???!!! You should have known you would only create a Faux Pas with your FUPA (Fat Upper -we'll just say- 'Pelvic' Area) and end up cringing once the photos surfaced... However, hindsight is 20/20 right guys?? It's best we let these misses create that Xponential Learning Curve for future Rockin Red Carpet/ Night on the Town Moments.... And yes, Needless to say, we do have the freedom to wear whatever we want just personally I would rather accentuate the assets and minimize the rest.  With this concept in mind pioneering Plus Model Royalty, Runway the Real Way inclusive catwalk Curator, Innovator, Musician (and I'm honored to say, one of my closest confidantes) Catherine Schuller came up with the 'Y.E.S.S Style Assessment Quiz' to help you hone in on what 'Your Essential Signature Style' may be!

Catherine's 'Y.E.S.S Series' will be featured monthly on the  Plus Designer Clothing Brand Igigi.Com 'Igigi Style Blog'. Some very lucky Curvy Influencers will be able to take the quiz, have their style assessed and be featured on the go to premier fashion brands blog scoring some beautiful dresses for participating!!! XC is so honored humbled and proud to be the FIRST featured Blogger setting off this interactive informative fashion style blog and from the bottom of Mi Corazon I want to thank Igigi.com for my new 2 GORGEOUS dresses and of course Thank you to my lady Catherine for being such and amazing support system and inspiration in both my personal and professional life.. Love you Beyond...

"Style is being yourself on purpose.  Dressing without guessing….always be true to your nature.  Take the Y.E.S.S. Style Quiz and discover Your Essential Signature Style.  This will help you in selecting clothing and in building a wardrobe that is truly an example of your personality and inner self.  This quiz is a fast yet effective way to determine which criteria are appropriate for you and will assist you in making clothing selections that are reflective of your essence.  The results will help you deliver a message of consistency that allows you to express who you are and achieve what you want.  You will begin to develop and define immediate visual impact, hone rapid fire messages which are revealed in subtle, obvious, deliberate and purposeful ways.   Define a strategy for dressing once and for all based on style selections.  Master your purpose by knowing your style and what it means to have that “distinct aura” that only visual presentation mastery exudes.  Put your best look forward!"

The Five Styles of Modern Lives

          Did you see a pattern?  Were you torn between one or two types?  Individual style is nearly always a blend of styles based upon a dominant, or core style.  To find your core style - the one that defines how you approach clothing, and your personality – look at your answers to these questions, and think about the type of clothes you are drawn to (whether or not they reflect those hanging in your closest at the moment).  Compare that information to the style definitions.

          If you answered mostly A’s you are Natural/Sporty; B’s you are Elegant/Classic; C’s you are Romantic/Feminine; D’s are Glamorous/Sexy; E’s are Dramatic/Artistic.

A = NATURAL/SPORTY
B =  ELEGANT/CLASSIC
C =  ROMANTIC/FEMININE
D = GLAMOROUS/SEXY
E = DRAMATIC/ARTISTIC

Model Maker Mentors is back in NYC and WE WANT YOU!!!!

 Model Maker Mentors is an affiliate of Catherine Schuller Enterprises, LLC. The program was recently started back up by Schuller as one of her many efforts to make fashion and the industry accessible to everyone. Schuller has been quoted many times saying "I just want to be the person I wish I had met when I moved to New York." This program is a working testament of her doing exactly that! In 1996 Schuller wrote a model manual titled "The Ultimate Plus Size Modeling Guide" (which at one point a signed copy on eBay and Amazon was listed $300.00+ USD) Signed mint condition copies may still be found, but it could be around $125.00USD. As the Plus Size world has evolved, as well as the fashion industry, Schuller decided it was time to modernize the program.

Available on Amazon Books

In preparation for composing an up to date version of the manual for the ENTIRE industry which is to include what Catherine Schuller calls "The ABC's of Modeling", and "Model Etiquette", Schuller has decided to bring Model Maker Mentors back to NYC where it all started! The former Ford plus size model, and former style editor of MODE Magazine, has enlisted help from some of the best runway and editorial model coaches in the city, as well as stylists, designers, and photographers to bring the hands on, up close and personal model mentoring program back to "The Big Apple!"

This program has an infinite number of benefits, but is not for the faint of heart. If you are serious about taking your modeling career to the next level, plus or straight, male or female...or if you just want some last minute runway tweaks before fashion week this is an opportunity you do not want to miss! Need some posing perks? That's another exclusive offering. The new home of Catherine Schuller's inclusive catwalk show, "Runway the Real Way", will be utilizing freeze modeling and tableau group scenarios throughout the four floors of galleries. This is not easy and requires composition and composure, not to mention a good dollop of discipline to make this physical stuff look engaging and not contrived or self-conscious. During the session, participants will learn the ins and outs of two aspects of modeling that will certainly differentiate you from here on out!

Model Maker Mentor Catherine Schuller with Runway The Real Way Models

As an ode to Fashion Week, Schuller decided to offer these classes at an "exclusive to New York" package rate of $25.00! The package includes:

Registration fee
A group consultation facilitated by "Catwalk Extraordinaire" Fanta Camara
One on one walking and posing instruction also with Fanta Camara (as well as other surprise guest throughout the session)
A light brunch will be provided to participants as well as token bags to include some goodies and take home tip sheets (which will include excerpts from the original "Ultimate Plus Size Modeling Guide" as well as the new modeling guide project. Valued at more than $200.00 USD total!!)
Participants who display an already well rounded understanding of runway, posing, and etiquette will automatically be cast in an actual NY Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2015 show (providing you also meet designer size needs and age requirements.)

Because we want to provide the highest quality of this program and also ensure everyone receives the proper coaching and adequate time with the mentors, SPACE IS LIMITED!!!! Sign up now to lock in your slot! Good Luck! And hope to see you there!

Museum of Sex's 'PLAY' Restaurant to Launch "Fifty Shades of Fashion" Show Brunch For VALENTNE'S 'GET STEAMY' WEEKEND

For Immediate Release                                                             February 2, 2015

New York, New York – The popular Saturday fashion brunch known as Runway the Real Way (RTRW) created and curated by former Ford Model and plus size advocate, Catherine Schuller, has changed venues from the Dojo Restaurant at the YOTEL HOTEL in Times Square to the restaurant PLAY within the Museum of Sex located north of the Flatiron District in NYC.  The fashion brunch has been host to hundreds of designers, models, photographers and produced over 60 shows within the past two years at the YOTEL. RTRW is a fashion show entity that produces fashion shows based on diversity and innovative integration and features all sizes, shapes, genders, heights, ethnicities, persuasions on what is called the “inclusive catwalk.”  The Runway is a metaphor for life -- every day is a fashion show and the world is your runway!”  She goes on to say, “Inclusivity is just good for business!”

With the YOTEL doing major restructuring and renovations beginning January 1, the RTRW brunch had to look elsewhere for a home. Marvin Coleman of Capital M Enterprises, LLC had seen the excitement around the brunch at the Yotel and invited Schuller to meet his friend Sasha K. who runs daily operations in PLAY and coordinates special events for The Museum of Sex. After visiting the fashion event at the YOTEL and meeting Catherine, he was inspired to invite the brunch brigade with its merry supporters of fans, models, designers, stylists, makeup and hair artists, not to mention a band of photographers and backstage denizens, to build out a new destination brunch spot at the laid back lair. “The PLAY den/space has a lot of potential and an undiscovered vibe” says Coleman.  Together they have created a customized RTRW brunch format just for Play@MoSEX which will launch on Valentine’s weekend, Sunday February 15. This will be a tie-in to New York Fashion Week and will include a light brunch format based on serving small 'AppeTeasers,'
edible plated pleasures, that have a “tapas fare” feel with free flowing drinks – Bellini, Mimosa, Bloody Marys and Red/White Sangria ($50 per person).  Purchase Tickets in advance Via our Event bright

Seating for guests will begin at 12:00pm with a 'Fifty Shades of Fashion' show at 1:00pm  The second seating will be 2:15pm for 2:30- 4:30pm with another repeat fashion show at 3:30pm.    Models will be freeze modeling in the front street window before and after the shows and also walk throughout the galleries, modeling the designer’s clothing and fraternizing with patrons posing individually and in tableau type groups.  Free flowing fun will keep the pace lively. “Our goal is reinventing the space to keep it “Play”-ful and work against the obvious sexual fashion choices and strive for real NYC style,” adds Coleman.

Another aspect of RTRW is Stylaga, a fashion social networking app, which features live fashion show shopping right at the moment the clothing is on the runway that day in real time.  Stylaga’s Eugene Kay lends an e-commerce immediacy and delivers cutting edge fashion tech savvy to the ambiance.    Stylaga creates a video of the event as well for its YouTube channel and affords brunchers the luxury of purchasing the clothing right then in real time -- “From Our Catwalk to Your Closet.”   Designers include Rufus Dixon, Fantasia Veneziana, Valerie Simoes Designs, Anna Lyndley, and Sarah Bunn of Bunn Funn, tying in her creative couture canvases of Who’s Your Hero collection celebrating Black History Month.   Fifty Shades of Fashion will feature men’s elegant bespoke wear from Designer DeDeAllure’s “Montage Manhattan” menswear line, just like Mr. Grey wears in the movie, Fifty Shades of Grey premiering on V-day as well.   Topping it off, House of Roderick will donate exquisite jewelry to create the exact accessory to complement the looks with his beautiful and quality designs.  Love is in the air as there may even be some surprise performances and audience participatory games for prizes and giveaways.  Hubert’s Lemonade will be distributing delicious lemonade in several flavors for patrons to sample.  Straight or mixed with alcohol, it’s a great sipping treat. Ecoco Inc. has a hair care blend product and will be passing out goody bags to patrons during both brunches.   Sponsors are signing on daily.  Key Hair and Makeup is provided by GothamBeauty Lounge in New York City.   Sure to be a sell out, RSVPs are required.  Please call to reserve your place at NYC’s hottest V-day brunch.  Email runwaytherealway11@gmail.com Call Catherine Schuller Directly (646)4348526 or call the Museum for more information at (212) 689-6337.
